Interesting experiences on the net regarding Spam mail. I've found when I use 'spam' software to prevent this problem, it does work. You can find 'spam' prevention software at the TUCOWS website. I currently connect to TUCOWS

Some of the other tricks I use....
- microsoft hotmail address when visiting chat rooms or unknown places on the internet.
- set up filtering systems in my pegasus mail to address mail from "unknown" people.
- delete the mail at the server instead of at my pc.
- store spam in a separate directory and then systematically 'kill it' with spam prevention software.
- avoid signing up for various news letters on websites.
- when promoting a website on the net, use a third and four e-mail address to avoid 'marketing houses.
So far, it keeps the spam down.
