OPTIMAL CD-ROM PERFORMANCE IN WIN95

Is your CD-ROM operating at its peak efficiency? Here's how you can check:

1. From the Windows 95/98 Control Panel, double click on the System icon and select the Performance Tab.
2. Click on the File System button and select the CD-ROM tab.

3. Slide the Supplemental Cache Size tab all the way to the right. (If you have less than 16 MB of RAM on your PC, you may need to slide it back to the left a couple of notches.)

4. In the Optimize Access Pattern menu, select the correct CD-ROM speed.
